Hello ladies!
I'm gaining speed. I made it to chapter 44 today

Although I know it's the end of the book for most everyone else. I guess I'll make a few comments. Being a former Catholic, I was appalled at the way they treated the Jews. I really got lost in all the history. I did not like history and, I think I only studied American History. But slowly I'm learning. We are receiving sermon tapes from our church we attended in Chanute, and the pastor informs us of all the "attacks" against the Jews and the attemts made to make them give up parts of their land. After each attemt he makes mention of something that's happened to the country that has tried; disaters upon parts of the country that killed many people and destroyed houses, etc. He says, "Is this just coinsidence or is God trying to tell us something?" Just some thoughts.
I also keep wondering about this son of Sarah's that's missing, Saul. Does that name sound familiar? I guess it's not the same Saul that became the Paul of the New Testament, or I'm sure you all would have said something. I'm curious if Sarah ever finds him and where. Please, don't tell me!
And about Dusia, I had an immediate picture of Martha when she came in and commplained to Jesus about Mary not helping her. And did her daughter help or did she just do everything by herself, then at the "last minute", when her children were in bed, complain to her father? (not her Heavenly Father) Oh boy, do I relate, even though I don't have a doughter, I sometimes wait until the "last minute" on things, and Eric gets all the complaining. Poor guy!
Oh, and Samuel's escape, wasn't that great! Both times, from captivity and in the cave where Levi saves him. And Sara's protection from God as He uses others to save her from danger. Even "resaving" her when she was to scared to trust those He sent to help her.
Well, that's about all I can think to say right now, so I'm going to scoot. I may even get in a few more chapters while waiting on my dear husband to finish his business on the computor here at the library.
Hasta Luego
